Before I begin, I am not a programmer or a spy so I may be wrong about this. However...
When you're talking about bugs in a computer system, usually it means there's something wrong with the coding or there is some general disconnect between point A and point B. Google gave me this. For example, to "debug" a program, you'd go through the lines of code and see where there's an error/typo/whatever and fix it.
When you're talking about some sort of surveillance item, usually it's a physical "bug" that transmits something. So you can bug a room by putting a tiny transmitter somewhere and someone can listen in or whatever.
Dear author,
When you keep mentioning that they found a "bug" in the computer system, I'm pretty sure you're combining both definitions. I think the word you're looking for is "virus", and that's completely different from a bug in both senses. Bugs don't download information or send information anywhere. It just keeps throwing me off because your main villain keeps talking about how he planted all these bugs in the computer system and was responsible for the Y2k bug (which wasn't a virus but a flaw in program design). I feel like your villain is bragging about fucking up someone's code on purpose, and that would make him akin to Professor Chaos/Butters on South Park. I am not scared of your villain.

Here is the review I couldn't muster the courage to leave you:
In a perfect world, everybody would be accepting of homosexuals, and that would make me smile. Unfortunately, this new isle called Utopia does not exist.
If two men live in any random town in the United States and decide to openly pursue a relationship, there will be dissenters. Some may be among their families, some may be among their friends, some may be bystanders in the street. It's a nice concept, to believe that the idea of a homosexual relationship is accepted and embraced everywhere, but a false one. People have radically differing opinions on this sort of thing. If Adam and Scott, two men set in modern USA, decide to make out in a crowded park, it's unlikely that every single person there will congratulate and commend them. Hell, if a heterosexual couple decided to make out in a crowded park, someone would likely be upset by it.
There are some cities that are more accepting than others, sure, but even so, for someone who prides themselves on the realism of male/male relationships portrayed in your fanfiction, you've seemed to pretty up some of the grimmer facts a little too well.

YMMV on portmanteau pairing names, of course. But portmanteauing the titles of two canons into the title of a fic crossing those canons? Fail.
There are lots of canons in which time travel is a matter of course. Lots more in which it's known to be possible, however improbable. Firefly falls in neither category. So if you wanna have Kaylee speaking casually about going time traveling, you got a lot of work to do first.

Pairing Mukuro/Xanxus
Warnings Sex, spoilersishy for recent manga chapters
Summary Mukuro has a favor he needs filling, and perhaps a round about way of achieving it. Just how many strings does one pull to get on the Varia? Oh, okay, I wanted to try it too, this mystical MukuroXanxus pairing!

Title: Cure for Shock
Author: Yours Truly
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Mukuro/Hibari (albeit, somewhat blink-and-you-miss), Reborn
Warnings: Hibari hating on Italy, biasing against Italy, defacing Italy... 8D;;;
Notes: I don't actually hold any of the views I've written Hibari to have. I'm sure Italy's a lovely country; Hibari's just biased and Namimorisexual like that. |D
Dedication: For
runesque who prompted with "Culture Shock"
Summary & Link: Hibari doesn't like Italy. So when he finds himself stuck there on a mission and becoming increasingly irritated in the meanwhile, he takes matters into his own hands.

Dear Random Person who happened upon my fanfiction.net profile,
I had a very breif blurb about an up-comming story I was kicking around.
You read the blurb found it confusing that I have a character who claims to be psychic --but actually is not --in a ghost story. So confusing in fact that, you PMed me asking me what I meant. And I explained to you that the character was mentally ill, and as such honestly believed herself to be psychic.
You replied that it was stupid and that I should just make her a kick-ass psychic ghost hunter.
Somehow I think you missed the point.

Yes I am ranting again after only three days... why doesn't it stop? Why?
( Cut for frank wording about anal and some ewwwwww )
ETA: *cringes* after reading comments I re-read some of the fic... three times this author mentions Character A doing what he did after the anal. *cringes more*

You know what's really not a good summary? I'll show you:
.
Did you catch that? Yep, that's right. A single, solitary period and nothing else. That's not a summary, that's laziness.

Edited to fix LJ-formatting fail.

Review I got for the first chapter of a multichapter fic: (netspeak and fandom removed)
"I'm interested to see how this can be an Alice/Bob story when Bob and Carol are still together."
Because Bob and Carol are together in canon at the time the story is set?* Just because I selected Alice and Bob from FFN's dropdown menu doesn't mean their other relationships go out the window. Bob/Carol have their own arc to go through and Carol is important in her own right. The hilarious bit is that the fic is labeled Horror/Drama not Romance, so I never promised any pairings in the first place (it happens to be Alice/Bob, but it's not the main plot)
*unless they mean "How will Alice/Bob get together?" in which case: it's only the first chapter. Give me time.

I'm always requesting a read. Or several. I'm on a bit of a Criminal Minds kick, due to the fact that it's played on A&E all the time these days. I've never really explored the literary side of crime fiction (with the exception of: The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Killer Inside Me for Lit & Film class recently), and I'm interested in exploring some crime and mystery fiction.

An eating disorder is quite heartbreaking enough, and causes enough drama and trauma to the person suffering it and their loved ones, especially during the initial stages of recovery. You really, REALLY don't need to keep adding childhood trauma after childhood trauma on top of it. An overload of angst has the tendency of deadening the impact of any of it on your readers.
Writing a character say something racist =/= the author being racist. No, really. Authors can write characters with opinions that aren't their own.
I have recently made a new D1869 community, I know that there are more fans out there and I hope we can all join on this comn to share and talk about this pairing! I have just made this comn today and I don't have much experience, I am looking for a few mods, around 2-3 to help me out with the going ons of my first comn, so I prefer someone who knows what they are doing.
I am also looking for anyone who has anything to contribute to this community, anything is welcome if you use the appropriate cuts and tags!
I am sorry if this kind of post is not allowed, if it is not I will delete it.

My Review:
For years, Sean Meriwether has served as editor of two of the most cutting-edge web magazines out there: Outsider Ink (now shuttered) and Velvet Mafia: Dangerous Queer Fiction. During his time with both markets, Meriwether has found exceptional literature by some of the best writers working. Occasionally he’s also thrown one of his own works into the mix and that is how I first discovered Meriwether as an author in his own right. Over the years, Meriwether has been amassing an enviable body of work and that, my friends, is a very good thing for us.
